Job Description:
The Strategy Analyst (Intermediates) is responsible for providing analytical support and participating in the development and execution of the Portfolio and Product Line (PL) strategies working with the wider Strategy team, Commercial, Manufacturing and Technology. As the Analyst develops in role, they will have opportunities to lead strategic studies and/or early phases of opportunity development.
Collaborate with relevant Strategy Advisors and Marketing Managers to translate external trends into actions to capture opportunities or mitigate threats.
Provide analytical support for strategy development (strategy reviews, deep dives, etc.)
Owns competitor intelligence process
Provides screening economics for early phase opportunities
Supports Strategy Advisors in early stages of opportunity development
Provides strategy guidance for selected opportunities as it progresses through the stage gated project process
Owns re-investment logic and economics key process technologies
Collaborates with Project Economists and Marketing Managers on market fundamentals to support strategic/investment decisions.

Requirements:
The individual should be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an ever-changing and fast paced environment. In order to drive optimisation across organizational boundaries this role requires effective engagement with a wide range of Strategy team, Commercial, Manufacturing and Technology.
On top of that, we want to hear from men and women with the following:
Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in Chemicals, Engineering or other related discipline.
Minimum three (3) years prior experience similar role is essential
Commercial, Manufacturing or Technology experience.
Chemicals experience is a plus but not required
Good interpersonal and communication skills combined with analytical ability and attention to details are essential to manage multiple working interfaces at various levels.
Ability to provide clear communication on economic direction whilst considering the feasibility aspects too.
Capability to deal with various issues at the same time and taking decisions with incomplete information.
