Our Southern California team is expanding! We have a great career opportunity for a Middle Market Broker II. In this role you will be responsible for the complex portfolio of middle-market accounts, including the placement and service, as well as ensuring client deliverables are maintained. This individual is accountable for acting as the representative for the local office or region on new business and renewal opportunities. Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client.Ensure that placements are handled correctly and on timeDevelop and maintain thorough knowledge of management liability insurance marketplace, products and services.Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teamsIdentify and analyze prospect and client exposures.Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, occasional client meetings and conference calls.Key member of the client facing team, acting as a trusted advisor to the executive level client in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts.Serves as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies, often within a specialized area.Responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing and executing large projects/ programs.Frequently interacts with senior level colleagues and clients, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or clients and the company.Establishes client facing skills including effective presentations & communicationsEstablishes ability to work with moderately complex accounts Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processesEmerging coverage competency, knowledge of markets and relationshipsMentors entry level brokersEstablished team player and emerging internal network Required Experience:5 - 10 years of experience placing and servicing P&C business.
