Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative, and growing team that will play a key role in driving profit growth for Sprouts.  The Sprouts Merch Planning, Pricing & Analytics team is chartered with driving growth and profitability through designing business processes, reports, and insights that are scalable, analytically robust, and increasingly data-driven. 
 
The Strategic Pricing Analyst will partner with Merchandising, Planning, and other key stakeholders to drive sales growth, profit, customer engagement, and longer-term customer price/value perception. This person, and the Strategic Pricing team, will accelerate the adoption of pricing tools & processes, execute price changes in pricing systems, and implement a pricing recommendation system which maximizes company and category financial and strategic objectives. 
 
Essential Functions

Analyze market trends, product volume, margin, prices and promotional strategies, competitive data, and provide recommendations to key stakeholders.
Partner with Category Management to understand product characteristics and relationships. Perform detailed analysis to optimize prices for merchandising categories. Track and measure incremental sales and margin.
Create innovative and optimal analytical solutions using decision modeling, and collaborative partnerships to drive pricing strategy initiatives. 
Generate, analyze, and distribute key business reports; review weekly, monthly and quarterly results, and provide stakeholders with key findings and recommendations.
Effectively present recommendations to colleagues for review and to all levels of the organization using various modes of communication/presentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field is required.

Minimum experience: 3 years strategic pricing/analytical experience in in retail/CPG/services industries, merchandise planning, category management, or retail consulting
Analytical mindset with detail orientation and entrepreneurial work ethic \u2013 in short, a \u201cgeneral athlete\u201d
Comfortable manipulating large amounts of data and problem-solving, generating impactful recommendations \u2013 bringing insights to action
Highly adept in various systems, including superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
Familiarity with databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle etc nice to have but not required.
Demonstrated skill with root cause analysis; able to spot when something isn\u2019t quite right and audit with limited guidance
A structured and creative thinker, able to toggle easily between the big themes and the little details
Strong communication skills and ability to influence
