Electronic Resources Analyst

The candidate will partners with the Assistant Librarian and staff on the ordering and payment activity of electronic resources and selective print. Assists in the administration and updating of the electronic resource management tool. Follows library procedures and best practices for the acquisition, licensing, implementation, assessment, and budgeting of electronic resources. Also recommends improvements to current procedures and best practices. Works with colleagues to provide access to electronic resources and to optimize resource discovery. Works with firm IT and vendors to resolve technical issues and manages Epoxy for remote access. Implements and supports authentication methods as appropriate, including the use of IP authentication, passwords, SSO, and API technology in compliance with associated licensing agreements. Collects, analyzes, and presents use, purchase, and availability data of electronic resources. Monitors trends and best practices related to electronic resource access, discoverability, usage analysis, and resources adoption. Works collaboratively to support metadata maintenance for electronic resources and selective print materials. Participates in, or leads, special projects as assigned. Master’s degree from ALA-accredited Library School; or equivalent information management degree. 2+ years of experience in electronic resources management, including experience in a law firm or corporate information center required. Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills required. Technical knowledge of integrated library systems used for collection management, including reporting functions and the structure and management of online catalogs required. Experience with automated library systems, preferably EOS or Sydney, and Resources Monitoring software required. Demonstrated knowledge of technical services, electronic resources subscription and emerging trends preferred. Law firm experience is preferred. Knowledge and use of SharePoint in an intranet environment required. Knowledge of cataloging and metadata principles required.
