Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have 3-6 years of substantive civil litigation experience, with a strong background in dispositive motions, discovery, and exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, including but not limited to, contract disputes, personal injury cases, and employment disputes.
• Draft, review, and analyze legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies, arguments, and decisions.
• Assist in all phases of the litigation process, including pre-trial preparation, trials, and post-trial proceedings.
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, clients, and third parties.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 3-6 years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and trial preparation.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
