Duties:

• Draft, file, and review pleadings and related court documents

• Handle discovery processes, including drafting demands, responding to requests, and managing depositions

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and briefs

• Assist in or independently argue motions and appear in court proceedings

• Manage a varied caseload involving employment, business, real estate, construction, and commercial disputes

• Communicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and court personnel

• Contribute to case strategy, legal analysis, and trial preparation

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in New York, or eligibility to waive into the New York bar

• 3 to 6 years of relevant litigation experience in civil or commercial practice areas

• Prior exposure to employment matters (discrimination, retaliation, wage/hour), contract disputes, or property litigation preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities with precision and efficiency

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar license or eligibility to obtain admission

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing and analytical capabilities

• Strong verbal communication and advocacy skills

• Independent problem-solving ability and initiative in managing casework

• Organizational aptitude for handling deadlines and complex matters
