SUMMARY

Global Technical Service. LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a 

Cloud Migration Specialist in support of the Air Force Logistics Command.  The Cloud Migration Specialist will support the Air Force logistics portfolio manager migrate it's legacy applications to the Cloud

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter and a change agent with experience and desire to drive organizations to be successful on migrating legacy applications to cutting-edge Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry)

Responsibilities

Work with AF PEO C3I&N / Leidos to plan the migration of the next few years

Help gather necessary artifacts from the system Program Managers

Monitor migrations for blocking issues and help resolve issues

Monitor ESB and impact to systems

Monitor use of Xacta (push for its use as this has huge impact to the portfolio)

Improve migration process in coordination with AF PEO C3I&N as

Conduct immersion brief / training with migration project coordinators

Additionally, this person would need to maintain awareness and coordinate migration with two other simultaneous projects

Education / Experience / Certifications

Minimum of 5 years of technical infrastructure and/or systems engineering experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in all aspects of cloud computing (compute, storage, platforms, data and security)

A Bachelors college degree is required; A Masters is preferable

Must be US Citizen

NACI or SECRET security clearance preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
