Senior Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for disseminating relevant legal information within firm as well as leading business strategies that respond to relevant legal developments. This position may have direct reports. Responsibilities: Staying apprised and updated regarding legal, statutory and/or regulatory developments impacting the company’s business, clients or members, and disseminating relevant legal information within the company, as well as leading business strategies that respond to relevant legal developments. Identify unmet needs and future legal issues and proactively proposes strategies to optimize outcomes and results for the company. Assist with development and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures, handbooks, marketing materials and other written communications. Respond to legal questions from company management and staff, including request for proposal (RFP) questions. Managing and mitigating any and all internal and external legal threats and risks to the company, including coordinating any litigation in which the company is involved. Primary support of Sales and Account Management and Network Contracting. Take ownership of resolving matters with significant impact to the business. Serve as recognized source, for both management and other attorneys, of innovative ideas in complex areas of law or business. Advise legal department managers of critical project developments in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
