Responsible for the quality control of the weight and inspection function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for working daily special customer specific projects; includes tracking, identifying data, root cause issues, etc. and then report findings and/or working with customers to resolve issues.
Handle weight and density studies that cannot be assigned to a single location. Responsible for chasing the shipments, collecting data from the coordinators, and then reporting findings to the W&I and/or Costing teams to assist with costing and pricing decisions.
Track and report the value/success of the W&I team's extra pay for day program. Monitor manager approvals and then track the employee results against the established goals for each day.
Responsible for assembling and producing various W&I performance reports for managers on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis to monitor individual or terminal goal achievement. This data is used by the manager to review and determine course of action for improvement in revenue numbers.
Work with field locations, with engineering and W&I personnel to ensure ISO compliance in the W&I area.
Monitor scale transfers to ensure that the scale maintenance vendor and Vital Signs scale tracker stay in sync with each other.
Monitor scale parts inventory and work with scale maintenance vendor to ensure parts on-hand are used in lieu of purchasing new.
Assist field locations with forklift, dock and yard scale issues; including troubleshooting issues, scheduling repairs or maintenance, ordering new scales, replacing old scales, etc.
Assist with vendor scale compliance and invoice audits as directed.
Assemble and report W&I daily revenue %'s for continuous monitoring toward team goals.
Produce and report on reweighs greater than 1,000 lbs. on a daily and weekly basis. This allows coordinators to review and manage potential customer issues before invoicing occurs.
Produce various sales reports weekly as assigned.
Responsible for collecting data on CCSB research projects and communicating that information back to the CCSB board.
Maintain the W&I coordinator SharePoint site including schedule updating, loading reporting data, articles, etc. for coordinator review/use.
Assist W&I coordinators with tablet usage, help with functionality questions and troubleshooting.
Performs other duties as needed and requested by managers, such as approving protests, pulling data on accounts or certain corrections, NMFC 999998 tracking/reporting, etc.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience.
Experience in Weight and Inspection.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Planning, organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * *
Experience in the trucking industry.
Knowledge of the National Master Freight Classification.
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
