Legal Assistant (Pre-Litigation)
Duties: Answer multi-line phones in a professional manner. Scan, copy, fax, documents, email updates, and request medical and billing records/reports. Open client files for PI cases/ Criminal Cases/ Ticket cases. Assist the attorneys in drafting motions, petitions, subpoenas, etc. e-filing, opening/closing files, and opening claims. Meet with clients, Bi-Lingual (Spanish). Mail out correspondence to clients, and invoice clients. Call the jail/court/ attorneys' office to get information for clients. Work on clients' files for Personal Injury cases, Criminal cases, Citations (Tickets), Business cases, etc. Research for clients, attorneys, etc. Follow up with court/adjusters/property damage body shops/medical providers/clients, and send office memos with updates, etc.
