A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. The firm specializes in personal injury cases, providing top-tier legal representation to clients across California. Duties

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, complaints, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, including taking and defending depositions.
• Represent clients in hearings at State and Federal courts as required.
• Collaborate with Lead Attorneys to manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring timely progress and meeting deadlines.
• Assist with trial preparation, including second-chairing trials when necessary.
• Handle cases involving personal injury accidents, including auto collisions, slip-and-fall incidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance disputes.
• Conduct thorough investigations and prepare demand packages for insurance companies across multiple states.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and, when necessary, file civil lawsuits on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal research, oral communication, and written advocacy skills.
• Prior experience in personal injury law is highly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California State Bar license (required).
