Court Case Manager I
The candidate will promote mission and provide access to justice for members of the community. Will work in the Customer Service/Domestic Violence Division of the Anchorage Trial Court (salary range 10). Assist the public with a variety of case types such as civil, criminal, small claims, and domestic violence. Set up and index new case files; review filings for completeness and route to the appropriate division. Assign judges and issue summons for civil cases; schedule court dates for dissolution cases, uncontested divorces, domestic violence, and FED cases. Assist customers with court process, giving direction to additional resources. Recall outstanding civil and criminal bench warrants, process criminal requests and orders; assign dates for arraignments as necessary. Receipt money into the proper account codes for civil orders, copies, executions, restitution, certified mailings, sanctions, forfeitures, bail, fines, and marriage ceremonies. Keep informational pamphlets stocked and available to the public; process orders for tape/media duplication of court proceedings. Distribute all emergency domestic violence orders and injunctive orders as necessary; distribute change of venue to outlying courts for DV cases. May perform duties of an in-court clerk for DV hearings which include opening court, operating recording equipment, administering oaths, writing log notes, distributing orders, and closing the courtroom. May perform other duties from time to time which include training co-workers and cross-training in other divisions.
