The ideal candidate will oversee their caseload, guide clients through legal processes, and collaborate with a team of talented attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients on their rights and prepare relevant legal documents.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings and advise them on strategic decisions post-hearing.
• Manage court appearances, trials, motions, witness interviews, and legal research.
• Assess case outcomes by utilizing legal precedents and other relevant data.
• Maintain a manageable caseload and ensure timely progression of cases.
• Analyze cases to determine potential legal benefits for clients.
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen the client’s defense or challenge prosecution claims.
• Prepare clients for depositions, strategize case goals, and collaborate with witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of criminal defense experience.
• Proven experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong teamwork skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, though not required.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership in California.
