Duties

• Manage a subrogation litigation portfolio of 60-75 cases with minimal oversight.
• Develop and execute litigation and settlement strategies.
• Ensure procedural compliance and meet all deadlines.
• Maintain organized, resolution-focused files.
• Identify and escalate high-risk or high-exposure matters.
• Exercise day-to-day strategic and tactical decision-making authority.
• Drive settlement opportunities and manage drafting/response timelines.
• Provide guidance to Associate Attorneys and support paralegal workflow.
• Contribute input to performance reviews and development planning.

Requirements

• Active, in-good-standing California attorney license.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance subrogation experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage litigation from start to finish.
• Strong settlement negotiation skills.
• Experience guiding or mentoring junior attorneys.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar License.
