Duties: Oversees OGC’s review and plain language drafting of grants and contracts. Oversees OGC’s monitoring of compliance with local registration and local governance requirements globally. Provides legal guidance on micro-lending program. Oversees the continuous improvement of standard forms in OGC’s portfolio. Performs and supervises legal research on a range of legal issues affecting initiatives, projects and operations, advises on the same and composes memoranda for staff and leadership. Acts as a liaison in legal matters and coordinates with outside counsel. Advises Operations, Programs and Public Affairs, Country Offices and other organizational departments on legal issues, including innovative programs. Interprets and advises on laws and regulations that impact. Assists in the development of new policies and programs, staffing and training process, research, and preparation of presentations and reports. Interacts with affiliates, vendors and clients. Contributes to strategic litigation efforts, as assigned. Performs other duties, as assigned.
