A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and a commitment to providing excellent legal representation and advice to employers. The role involves defending and litigating a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges, advising and counseling clients, and representing employers in various legal settings.

 

Job Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court or arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations.
  • Handle cases related to class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete issues.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Show meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment effectively.
  • Exhibit strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Uphold professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork within the firm.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 4-6 years of experience, with a strong preference for candidates with an employment law background.
  • Experience with Class Action/PAGA is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation and legal projects.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the California State Bar.
