Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to handle various tasks, including intake, discovery, mediation, trial preparation, and management of numerous claims annually, predominantly involving property damage losses. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in legal motions, court proceedings, depositions, and client communication. A valid Massachusetts Bar license is required, and previous experience in insurance or subrogation law is highly desirable.

Duties:

• Conduct intake and initial case assessments for new claims.
• Review case files and evidence to prepare for discovery, mediation, and trial.
• Draft legal motions, pleadings, and other relevant documents.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of discovery, including depositions and document requests.
• Prepare and present cases in court and handle trial preparation.
• Analyze recovery opportunities and develop strategies for plaintiff claims.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved.
• Handle many cases involving property damage losses ranging from a few thousand dollars to millions.
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting legal motions and preparing for court proceedings and depositions.
• Proven track record in analyzing recovery opportunities for plaintiff claims.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and opposing counsel.
• Valid Massachusetts Bar license.
• Previous experience in insurance or subrogation law is highly desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in litigation and trial procedures.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and motions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.
