Privacy Program Manager

The candidate manages interactions with HP Privacy office and HP Information Governance Board to ensure compliance to Privacy by Design and Data Protection principles for HP products, services and processes. Privacy expert to local Data Governance teams and maintains alignment with HP’s Information Governance Board. Identifies areas of improvement in local practices relative to managing data privacy. Performs regular privacy assessments of operational processes, identifying, and mitigating risks. Supports Big Data efforts pan-Print and advancing privacy accountability across the company through effective tools, training and guidance. Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders. Acts as key interface to data science and analytics communities both within and outside of HP. Ability to effectively lead Change Management efforts across an organization. Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Law degree (J.D.) or related Data Privacy education and experience. Must have 8+ years Project and People Management experience. PMP/PMI certification preferred. Privacy certification preferred (CIPP-E, CIPP-US, CIPM). Familiarity with risk management principles, >5 years' experience in privacy / data protection. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly the ability to communicate with diplomacy, credibility and confidence. Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results; and negotiate options at senior management levels. Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing cross-functional teams and resources. Ability to exercise good judgement and balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, in particular in leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams. Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence without authority.
