Wealth Strategist
The candidate will provides advisory, planning, product and training support to the. Private Client Services (Private Banking, Private Trust, Private Investment Counsel) group within the TD Wealth Management organization. Provides general wealth planning support with an emphasis on developing comprehensive written wealth plans and offering of trust and estate settlement services to client and prospective clients of the Private Client Services Group. Positions trust and estate settlement solutions and will have target objectives to match territory covered. Make planning and delivery of advice central to majority of client relationships at TD Wealth. Growth of Investment Management and Lending as a result of client planning engagements. Assists relationship manager in business development, opportunity identification and revenue generation. Participates in client meetings with advisors to identify client needs and generate customized solutions to those needs. Prepared detailed written wealth plans and trust and estate settlement proposals in a timely manner. Involved in spotting, anchoring, introducing and following up on opportunities for complementary business and solutions. Provides direction and coordinates the implementation of wealth planning strategies, including meeting with client's professional advisors, tax advisors and attorneys. Will have assigned goals for the outcome of wealth plans delivered, trust proposals made, new relationships on-boarded and new business generated. Responds to general wealth planning (i.e. tax, estate planning) information support received through personal and digital communications. Initiates, develops, and updates general wealth planning, trust and estate settlement tools and content (e.g. articles, presentations, calculators, etc.). Develops and delivers general wealth planning training, trust and estate settlement seminars and education to TD Wealth Management clients and staff (both Private Client Group and Mass Affluent segments). Keeps abreast of wealth planning and trust developments and helps increase the overall wealth planning and trust knowledge level of the Wealth planning support team. Ensures appropriate service levels are provided to maximize role profitability, minimize costs and manage business to avoid financial losses and reputational damage to TDBG. Represents TD Wealth in community organizations, industry events/seminars and as an author in relevant publications. Bachelor's degree required. Must have 10+ years related industry experience. Professional legal and/or accounting designation required. Financial planning designation (CRP ®) preferred. Juris Doctor degree preferred. Series 7, Series 63 + 65 or 66 preferred. Investment and insurance industry experience. Proven skill in managing work in a collaborative environment. Excellent relationship building skills. Strong communication, presentation, time management, and organizational skills. Experience with Naviplan & Money Guide Pro financial planning software. Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Ability and willingness to travel. Strong written and oral skills. Must feel comfortable presenting in person and digitally to large audiences.
