Description
The Medicare Advantage Actuarial Software Team owns the MA pricing model, which generates annual pricing of Humana's largest segment of business, individual plan Medicare Advantage. The team consists of actuaries and business professionals who are proficient with SQL and working within IT DevOps processes. The team works closely with a group of IT professionals to enhance the pricing model.
Responsibilities
The Medicare Advantage Actuarial Software Team is seeking a Lead Technology Implementation Professional that will be uniquely focused on designing and maturing processes of software development for Humana's MA Model. This role will develop strategies to implement the department's long-term technology roadmap by improving life cycle development formats (agile to waterfall, as well as DevOps).
Key responsibilities are:
Work closely with software developers (both business and IT) to ensure impacts of planned software changes are evaluated in accordance with accepted agile/waterfall development processes and communicated across departments.
Coordinate with both business and IT developers to ensure stories (i.e., packages of IT work) taking into account timing, scope and resources appropriately across sprints, as well as software release management considerations.
Ensure stories are developed and created following Azure DevOps best practices, approved by both teams, and in time for grooming sessions with IT (with an adequate backlog of stories ready).
Responsible for planning an achievable scope of work for each software release and gaining commitment by working with the IT project manager, requiring knowledge of Humana ERM best practices. This task also requires experience in problem solving in a complex technology environment where DevOps knowledge is required.
Manage tasks to the established milestones in the release calendar by collaborating with both business and IT, and communicating broadly in both technical and business language.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, Agile Development Methodologies and MS Azure DevOps
Experience managing large/complex projects in tech environments
Experience in IT business analysis, including artifacts development
Experience problem solving and consultation within complex environments
Facilitating cross-functional teams' efforts
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree of Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field
PMP or other project management certifications
Certifications related to Agile Development Methodologies
