Description

The IT Project Manager 2 oversees various agile projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The IT Project Manager 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager 2 is an energetic and inspirational leader who assembles and leads project or agile teams, identifies appropriate resources needed, and manages schedule of dependencies to ensure timely completion of work items. Routinely actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks. Familiar with the scope and objectives of the desired outcome, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively guide the activities of the team. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. The successful candidate must be a self-starting team leader, who can work independently to guide the team with little guidance once a direction is chosen and is capable of building positive/trusting relationships with leaders and the teams they work with.

Required Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience being a leader within a SAFe methodology framework also with familiarity of traditional project and program management methodologies

Excellent communication skills and the ability to give frank and empathetic feedback and coaching

Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration

SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification

Knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities, including JAVA, DB2, .Net and SQL, Jira Align, ServiceNow PPM, MS Azure Suite

Experience in the health solutions industry
