Senior Manager - Pharmacy Ops
Utilizing lean methodology, develop and organize WAH site to eliminate waste in process. Drive process changes to elevate team to World Class Pharmacy Operating System and help with implementation of Phase 2 for WAH. Solve complex problems; take a new perspective when finding solutions while maintaining focus on budget constraints. Frequent inter-organizational contacts and availability for extended work hours due to nature of WAH scheduling of employees. Extensive phone utilization when managing. Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Work within guidelines of the WAH point requirements and maintain diplomatic approach with all union activities. Participate and engage/teach supervisory staff with book clubs, one on one calls, and team building events.
Day-to-day order processing, managing client and patient issue escalations to pharmacy and client-facing leadership teams.
Works with Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to manage a quality review process. This includes root cause analysis and coaching-feedback loops to the Tech and RPh Supervisors for accuracy issues on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Manage productivity results – managing, calibrating and measuring all staff-level resources to consistent productivity targets for all functions.
Manage to financial budgets and labor forecasts; performs monthly / quarterly service and productivity variance analysis.
Responsible for performance to Service Level targets and SLAs – order TAT, DIH targets, etc
Develop a ‘leadership bench’ from within organization – developing future Supervisors, Team Leads and Operations Managers.
8 – 12 years’ experience in an operations management role and people leadership with a focus on lean methodology and quality improvements.
Six Sigma Certification is required
PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft office; Moderate relational database query skills (e.g., Access)
Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results among potentially conflicting constituencies
Analytical thinking, demonstrated ability to leverage data for problem solving
Basic financial analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to delegate to direct and indirect reports, ability to focus on top priorities.
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. Able to work towards specific deliverables within a environments of tight deadlines and significant pressure
Knowledge of PBM or Healthcare industry preferred.
Excellent customer service skills required.
Operations knowledge and experience required – includes specific experience using data analytics and reporting as a means to manage Operational decision-making (staffing, demand planning, quality, etc).

Abbott Diabetes Care communicated a recall of certain FreeStyle® strips used in the FreeStyle® Blood Glucose Meter built into the OmniPod Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM). They have also recalled the FreeStyle Flash® Meter and FreeStyle® Classic meters. Both recalls are being issued because glucose level readings using these products may provide erroneously low results which if not recognized may pose significant risks to your health.
