Radiologic Technology Instructor

The candidate will instruct classes as scheduled in the time allotted; not to exceed 31 contact hours per week. Follow the recommended course schedule to complete terminal performance objectives. Maintain current syllabi of courses taught according to present standards. Maintain and publish office hours for student contact. Turn in daily attendance records by the end of classes each day. Keep records of each student’s progress in each course taught and turn in grade reports. Actively follow up on attendance and academic problems to facilitate improvement of student and success retention by keeping the Program Director informed of any student, class or academic issues. Provide input on course improvements and curriculum. Produce and maintain reports as required. Attend meetings as scheduled. Attend and participate in school functions. File, complete and document a professional development plan. Should be able to demonstrate teaching skills and effectively teach adult learners; Able to schedule and teach classes in the time allotted. Be required to interact in a professional and effective manner with students, co-workers and vendors. Must be able to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. Proficiency with software including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. It is essential that attendance and punctuality is reliable and consistent especially as it relates to scheduled classes and posted office hours. Light to moderate travel may be required. Must be able to speak, hear, read, write, use a keyboard and lift 25 lbs occasionally. Able to physically and mentally conduct a productive classroom environment for the required amount of time. Must be able to tolerate exposure to fluorescent lights and computer monitors.
