Senior Tax Manager - Closely Held Business (CHB)

The candidate will be overseeing the tax preparation and technical review process for primarily complex closely held businesses ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations. Leading the tax team, advising, researching and identifying tax issues, and recommending solutions to complex customer issues. Delegating and managing tax assignments and perform administrative duties. Responsible for training, motivating, developing and reviewing the work of their team. Developing and sustaining excellent customer relationship with closely held businesses and their owners in the markets. Being anticipatory and consulting on various tax matters. Actively communicating progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to customers. Collaborating cross-functionally within the firm to grow existing business and offer a variety of business solutions to customers and prospects. Developing and growing a business network with colleagues, referral relationships, potential customers, and external organizations to attract new business. Continuously improving specialty area knowledge and professional development. Holding and others accountable for business development goals. Recruiting, developing, and motivating team members, creating pools of ready-now leaders. Should have Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or law; Master’s degree in Tax/LLM in Tax is preferred. Should have 7+ years of recent accounting firm experience. Significant experience on all types of entity and individual taxes, especially Partnerships and S-Corporations is required. Strong experience with corporate tax accounting is required. Experience with tax software and technology is required. CPA certification is required.
