Legal Assistant / Paralegal

A West Palm Beach Personal Injury and Civil Litigation firm, currently seeks a full-time legal assistant / paralegal. The candidate would be working directly with a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer specializing in Personal Injury Litigation (Plaintiff), Professional Liability and Insurance Litigation (Defense). A successful candidate will have strong Pre-Suit and Litigation experience on Personal Injury Cases. Duties include (but not limited to) preparing letters of representation, demands and pleadings along with requesting medical records and bills. Candidate will monitor and maintain calendars, organize and update case files, communicate with clients, attorneys and insurance companies. On defense cases, duties include all aspects of litigation, billing, and communication with insurance adjusters and clients. Trial experience is strongly preferredand candidate should be ready to discuss trial involvement and experience.

The candidate must be a team player, work well with others and a good communicator. This is a fast-paced job and the candidate must be able to multi-task. Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple assignments and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong typing skills and extremely computer literate is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
