THERAPIST-BEHAVIORAL (SV INFIRMARY), 8 EAST, PRN, VARIES','Part-time','Professional Clinical/Allied Health','VARIES','VARIES','0','0','Occasional','Occasional','ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK-ST VINCENT INFIRMARY','','!*!JOB SUMMARY: The therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, psycho-diagnosis, treatment planning, group treatment, individual treatment, family treatment, and discharge planning. Additionally, he/she is expected to function well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the Unit Community Relations Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Patient Care
Conducts individual psychotherapy sessions, displaying theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and good treatment technique.
Conducts family therapy sessions, displaying good theoretical knowledge of family therapy principles and good treatment technique.
Conducts group therapy sessions, displaying good theoretical knowledge of group therapy principles and good group therapy technique.
Conducts educational group sessions, displaying good theoretical knowledge of subject matter and effective communication skills in presenting material.
Engages in timely, efficient discharge planning. Works in close conjunction with patient, family, nursing staff and attending physician. Shows good knowledge of referral/placement process and available community resources.
Completes social evaluations on assigned patients in a timely fashion. Displays good interviewing, diagnosis and report writing skills.
Completes progress notes and discharge plans in a timely and high quality fashion.
Referral development Responsibilities
Is a member of the Referral Development Committee.
Effectively participates in the referral development process.
Other Responsibilities
Functions cooperatively as a member of the treatment team.
Communicates effectively with families and agencies, conveying a positive professional image.
Brings to Program Director’s attention significant issues related to program functioning.
Works sufficient hours to ensure effective performance.
Utilizes feedback regarding performance and uses supervision to improve performance.
Other duties as assigned.
','!*!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology from an accredited university. Must have current required licensure or certification for the State of Arkansas.
Experience: One year field placement or one year’s experience working with Chemical Dependency/Mental health/Eating Disorders patients.
Physical Requirements:
Skills: Must possess good overall clinical skills, ability to work productively and effectively, ability to function well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the host hospital.','We’re an equal opportunity employer.
