Description

The Medicaid Senior Acquisition Integration Professional performs project-oriented duties related to the integration of an acquired entity into the company. The Medicaid Senior Acquisition Integration Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Medicaid Senior Acquisition Integration Professional implements activities and projects associated with the assimilation of practices and systems where the primary competence is in project management and integration related disciplines. This role will partner with stakeholders across the organization after the merger/acquisition decision has been reached with a focus on integration activities.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the design and tactical execution of integration work plans.

Utilizes corporate and industry standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage projects.

Monitor the creation of all project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operations documentation.

Provide leadership and effectively communicates project status to all stakeholders and external agencies.

Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed with minimal direction.

Effectively builds strong relationships with all project stakeholders including external agencies such as consultants and State regulators.

Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Drives blueprinting process with enterprise and defines the integration approach based on findings.

Brings the business, IT and enterprise together on weekly team meetings, ensuring the work is getting done on time and within budget.

Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.

Understands interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.

Provides functional and technical knowledge across multiple business and technical areas.

Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company's objectives.

Assist with establishment and maintenance of corporate project management methodology and other department procedures.

Actively demonstrates Humana core values in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Three (3) or more years of technical and/or business project management experience.

Working Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies.

Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes.

Must have a room in your home designated as a home office; away from high traffic areas where confidential information may be secured.

Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of leadership experience.

Two (2) or more years of experience in Health Plan Operations and/or Healthcare IT systems.

Two (2) or more years System and/or business integration experience.

Experience working in Medicaid and/or Medicare.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Six Sigma and / or Project Management Institute certification.

Additional Information

Travel: Up to 20% to various states.

Work Hours: Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time.

Interview Format

Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
