SAP PP Functional Configuration Analyst Production Planning

Profile

Prestigious manufacturing company is seeking a SAP Configuration Analyst who has in-depth experience with the PP or Production Planning module. Must come from a manufacturing & distribution company and be functional and be able to configure SAP (Supply Chain Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning). Any FICO is a plus. Must have great communication skills to work with the business and gather requirements.
SUMMARY:
As member of a team, this SAP Business Analyst II will focus on large projects including new implementations and process redesigns. The individual will draw on expertise in successfully implementing PP/QM modules including discrete and repetitive manufacturing with the ability to understand the possibility of utilizing RF scanning

barcoding to successfully map business process to SAP functionality The SAP Production Planning PP Analyst will manage direction
of
SAP PP activities and operations with client users, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing SAP PP module this includes, but is not limited to the following:
• In depth understanding and practical application of SAP configuration
• Designs/Creates functional requirements for SAP system changes
• Coordinates and reviews new functional business requirements and determines the impact on the production SAP environment.
• Configures system enhancements where appropriate
• Executes or coordinates system integration testing; performs tests and modifies application configurations to resolve errors.
• Responds to reports of operational problems and requests for assistance; provides operational support and implements fixes and additional features.
• Researches, develops, and proposes both short and long term solutions to SAP system requirements.
• Supports departmental functions/usage of SAP modules; evaluates system requirements and implements solutions; configures, modifies, and coordinates testing of released objects.
• Creates and documents strategies; and develops, coordinates and executes standards, policies, methods and procedures for ERP business processes.
• Provides day-to-day technical direction and leadership for SAP business PP processes
• Ability to accomplish deliverables involving complex and highly analytical tasks.
• Consults with multiple Business users to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of system access.
• Analyzes and develops requirements for enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits user needs.
• Tracks and fully documents changes; writes detailed procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
• Provides technical assistance in training all levels of SAP users analyzes ERP systems technical literature and translates in terms understandable to end users.
• Stays abreast of current trends, literature, and technologies in the field of ERP management.
• Performs related duties as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years in SAP PP
including 2 full life cycle implementations
• Experience in configuring and managing the implementation of: Batch Management, BOM's, Routings, Production Planning and Execution, Capacity Management, MRP and Availability Checking.
• Experience in both discrete manufacturing and repetitive manufacturing.
• Ability to manage projects in a timely manner, or clearly anticipate and communicate project issues.
• Ability to work with information system users under stressful conditions.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot ERP system problems and recommend appropriate alternatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
