Provide in-house opinions in areas under the jurisdiction of the department and the Chief Financial Officer on designated matters, including providing legal advice and assistance to the offices and divisions within the department regarding procurement, contracting, and rulemaking matters. Handle all legal aspects of rule promulgation by the department drafting, analysis, and review. Procurements, Contracts and Grants. Prepare template documents. Review procurement, contract, and grant documents regarding matters within the jurisdiction of the department and the Chief Financial Officer and determine compliance with applicable state and federal laws and department rules. Legislation. Handle all aspects of legislation affecting the department and the Chief Financial Officer as-needed, including research, drafting, and analysis. Provide opinions regarding legislation and statutory interpretation.
