Description

The Senior IT Resilience & Disaster Recovery Engineer assists in defining high availability (HA) design patterns across infrastructure teams, ensuring compliance and building test program structure and process that supports resilience of the technology component and integrated technologies. Works with lab management team in assessing inventory and supports implementation projects and priorities. Maintains test documentation and process for reporting. Responsible also to support disaster recovery planning and test/validation through established processes. The Senior IT Resilience & Disaster Recovery Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior IT Resilience & Disaster Recovery Engineer develops and implements policies and procedures for Infrastructure Resilience. Tests HA and DR plans with various operational and support groups in IT. Involved in the evaluation and selection of vendors to ensure service level agreement meet business continuance and disaster recovery planning requirements. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

5 or more years of IT infrastructure experience

5 or more years of DR experience

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
