The Role

Play a visible external role in the global marketplace through direct client/prospect and broad industry contact

Assess the global marketplace for commercial opportunities and identify global product/service offerings that respond to those opportunities

Continually review product roadmaps linked to current and future business objectives, given available software development resources

Collaborate across products to enable appropriate component/product design to facilitate the development of general components that may be used across multiple offerings

Work with development team and TPLs, Technical Product Leaders, to deliver agreed development plans and to resolve issues and prioritization questions with day to day software development work, as required

Maintain awareness of the competition to ensure that software product features are competitive and marketing leading and where not, develop and implement tactics to overcome marketplace resistance

Lead the formulation of business cases for new products (or major enhancements of existing products) that require additional development resource. This will include gathering consultant, client, and IT requirements

In partnership with the ICT Software Leadership team and other GPLs, regularly review and agree allocation of resources across products, and review business cases for new products aligning with ICT Software strategic objectives (including SaaS)

Ensure that required marketing and sales materials are developed and accompanied by required consultant training is available and delivered as part of each product launch process

In conjunction with SPLs, and RLLs, develop proposed positioning in each product area

Lead dissemination of globally applicable intellectual capital in product/service area to support positioning

Input into annual planning activity by developing appropriate software sales goals

Where appropriate provide relevant leadership/input for high profile, high risk or otherwise strategically important consulting projects within the product area.

Support the go-to-market and sales activities (of both software and consulting) in conjunction with SPLs, RPLs and local consultants, through general guidance and personal involvement in the larger or more strategic pitches

In the case of software, define price lists for approval by Software Global LOB leader and/or GLT as appropriate, and on an individual client case by case basis review and approve/modify proposed deviations from standard prices and contract terms where required.

Consistently manage risk to within acceptable levels by ensuring appropriate governance and work quality process are adopted on all activities

Collaborate with other GPLs and stakeholders to create market viable solutions and consistent product management processes to manage pricing, roadmaps, etc.

Collaborate with WTW Sales Leaders to develop a guidelines and approaches to partnering and selling Unify to clients.

Collaborate with ICT Software and Technology Implementation Leader and Engineering Leader to develop product strategy and roadmaps

Collaborate with ICT Software Operations Director and Finance to track metrics and ensure the financial objectives are accurately reported and being met

Collaborate with Marketing

The Requirements

Proven market facing activity working with insurance industry clients

Demonstrated leadership of business transformation projects in the insurance or financial industry

Operational excellence and process design experience, especially in reserving, financial closing, or capital modeling

Consulting experience preferred

Demonstrated capability in original thought and innovation including delivering complex and multi-stakeholder projects from first idea through to completion and implementation

Considerable strategic vision and the ability to map high level vision to detailed requirements to support product development

Ideally have a detailed knowledge of Igloo

Demonstrate a strong history of delivery while remaining client

Be able to learn quickly

Be collaborative and good at working with multiple stakeholders
