The Head of Talent Acquisition will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent to meet Cabot\u2019s current and future needs ensuring recruiting success throughout the organization. This role will be primarily responsible for:
Setting Cabot\u2019s global recruitment strategy and plans,
Collaborating and influencing across Cabot globally to align, develop and implement effective recruitment practices, working closely with regional HR and talent acquisition leads,
Lead recruitment efforts, as needed, working closely with senior stakeholders and hiring managers, and
Manage a small team that provides recruiting support in North America.
The Head of Talent Acquisition reports to the Director of Talent Management.
Develops recruiting strategies and oversee recruiting operations to ensure job openings are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner
Works with site HR managers and hiring managers to understand staffing needs to enable the development of strategic sourcing and recruitment plans
Develop, report and track key metrics
Identify areas for improvement, working to develop and implement solutions to drive better results
Examine alternative recruitment methods (e.g., local or global RPOs), develop business case, champion and lead efforts to put in place
Work with site HR and global purchasing to development of Preferred Vendors for contingent and retained searches
Provides insights, training and other support to HR colleagues globally on best practices to strategically source, screen and interview prospective employees
Leads strategic sourcing efforts including to develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need:
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Build networks to find qualified passive candidates;
Research and recommend new ways for recruitment;
Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
Working with Corporate Communications and global HR organization, establishing a recognizable \u201cemployer of choice\u201d reputation for the company, both internally and externally by improving the company\u2019s marketing collateral, website recruiting page, social media presence, and onboarding materials
Working with Site HR Managers, coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives:
Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting
Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
Research best practices and network with internal and external HR colleagues to keep abreast of marketplace and workforce trends; share learnings with HR team
Provide leadership and advice on all applicable laws and ensure processes are in place for ongoing compliance. In collaboration with site HR managers ensure ongoing understanding and compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action, applicant tracking and other fair employment practices.
Participate in execution of full-cycle recruitment process at the global, regional and/or site level when needed, including executive-level searches.
Manage and develop talent acquisition team that provides sourcing and recruiting support in North America.
2 Internal recruiters report directly to this role. Regional recruiters have a matrix reporting relationship.

BS in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field preferred
7 years experience in Human Resources with a specialization in talent acquisition
Detailed knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws is required
Previous experience with multi-site, multi-national, multi-functional organization required
