The candidate will manage client case files. This includes providing excellent service and organizational skills to ensure our clients are receiving the best outcome for their case. Preferred background includes: 2+ years Personal Injury plaintiff experience. Assists attorneys in preparation for meetings with witnesses, clients, officers, and experts; depositions; hearings; mediation; trial; and client closing. Drafts correspondence, pleadings, and discovery answers. Drafts expert witness designations, motions, pre-trial scheduling orders, complaints, subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum. Redact medical bills for use at trial. Schedule all trial-related meetings. Calculate and calendar court deadlines. File pleadings in state and federal courts, court of appeals, Virginia Supreme Court. Manage and audit liens, including liens associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation. Experience with case management system.
