SALT Senior Manager, Unclaimed Property
The candidate will be responsible for advising clients of the tax implications and other accounting related matters that affect their business objectives, with an emphasis on unclaimed property compliance and consulting. Recommending alternate courses of action, as well as identify different methods of complying with unclaimed property statutes and regulations. Charging with project management, presentations to clients and states, coordinating compliance, audit defense, VDAs, and other consulting engagements, managing client expectations and deliverables, marketing, networking and business development and recognizing potential changes in unclaimed property policy and applying new policies to compliance and consulting engagements. Will be working with the Core Tax and Audit Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers to provide SALT expertise to their clients. Bachelor’s degree, is required; focus in Accounting is preferred. Should have 6+ years of prior experience in tax, financial statement auditing, internal auditing or forensic accounting in a public accounting firm or in-house organization. Prior supervisory experience is required. Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and other software is preferred. CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) is preferred.
