Sr. Export Compliance Officer
The candidate will be responding to requests for information. Submitting information to the auditors, driving corrective actions. Supporting business goals and objectives through timely drafting, submitting and obtaining all necessary export licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations. Ensuring that all limitations to export approvals are communicated to and understood by business partners. Providing export advice to Honeywell’s business teams – both strategic and tactical. Developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing comprehensive export compliance procedures and forms to drive the Company’s overall compliance with export laws and regulations. Working with the functions and businesses to ensure export compliance requirements are published in and adopted by business and/or functional processes. Communicating procedural changes via email, through training, and other communication vehicles. Supporting the Export Compliance investigations team in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints. Performing or supporting export related audits including facilitation of data gathering requests. Draft and obtain export authorizations. Conduct post-approval reviews for export authorizations. Develop, edit, communicate procedures and related forms. Assist with training and training development. Provide guidance on export regulations. Maintain record keeping. Compliance resolution. Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of one year export compliance experience, 2 years of experience working for a multinational company or a U.S. defense contractor. Basic knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). U.S. Person status as defined by the ITAR . One (1) year of export compliance experience, Experience with audits, Strong writing skills. Experience in drafting procedures, forms, reports, contracts, agreements, licenses, or presentations. Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated. Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned. Aptitude for compliance. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills a plus. Experience working in a compliance-related role, especially one involving export compliance. Detailed knowledge of the export regulations (ITAR and EAR), is plus. Experience with MS Office. Experience with SAP / GTS or other ERP systems and related export compliance modules. Experience with developing or using digital tools. Master’s degree or juris doctorate a plus .
