PCA Tax Director - Estate and Gifts

The candidate will guide clients through complex estate planning scenarios to meet their personal, family, and business goals and facilitate the effective transfer of wealth. Will research and consult on tax matters, primarily in the federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation-skipping tax arenas. Provide quality control reviews of tax returns, planning, research, and compliance within the area(s) of expertise. Determine appropriate tax objectives, scope, and methodology and actively participate in decision-making with clients to understand the broader impact of current decisions on their overall estate plan, while always sustaining excellent client relationships. Interact closely with clients' other advisors including other firm professionals, outside attorneys, and other external financial managers. Serve as the primary engagement manager with economic responsibilities for billing, realization, and collections. Effectively leverage available technology and other resources to maximize technical application to client deliverables and other projects and hold the engagement team to the same standard, providing technical guidance in the areas of Estate, Gift, and Trust tax issues. Evaluate skills and develop Senior Managers, Managers, Seniors, and Staff in client engagement management and technical expertise in federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generational skipping tax arenas. Lead or participate in the development of technical content like internal education, webinars, articles, and podcasts within the area(s) of expertise. Leverage technical expertise across the firm’s tax practice through people development, internal communications, firm training, and support QC policies background to assist on all tasks associated with tax engagements. Develop and execute a business plan which includes networking, new client development, and client expansion activities. An active sales team member or pursuit leader for new and existing client sales opportunities.
