Arcadis is seeking a Field Supervisor with a background as a Geologist,Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer to work in theTaos/Questa, New Mexico area.This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth inenvironmental consulting and the environmental remediation market. Thisfull-time position is expected to support environmental investigation,remediation, and permitting projects, and will be working alongside andsupporting a crew of field technicians while reporting to a project manager.Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Implementation of various field tasks including permit compliance,groundwater sampling, system operations and maintenance, wastemanagement, well development and repair, etcAssist Project and Associate Project Managers (PM/APM) with managingscope, schedule, and budget for tasks including environmental sampling,permit compliance, remedial system operations and maintenance, and other fieldHealth and safety stewardship, including field visitsEvaluate data to support environmental permits, delineate the nature andextent of constituents of concern, and modify and optimizelong-term-monitoring programsCoordinating work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractorsTechnical report writing and reviewClient and stakeholder correspondenceWorking effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholdersThe selected candidate will have:Experience with planning and execution of routine environmental tasks(e.g., field sampling technologies and methods, lab coordination,subcontractor oversight, etc.)Experience with task management to include controlling scope, schedule,budget, and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety RequirementsPrevious environmental sampling experienceCandidate should be health and safety focused, and able to work successfullyin a team settingWorking familiarity with State and Federal permit compliancePrevious experience with subcontractor procurement and management (e.g.,preparation of request for bids, preparation of scope of work, ensure workis completed in accordance with scope of work and H.and.S requirements)Required Qualifications:8 years of relevant experience with either Mining, Retail Petroleum,Railway, Utilities, and/or Federal clients40-hour HAZWOPER (8-hour annual refresher if applicable)Preferred Qualifications:Coordination of field crews on large sitesExperience around heavy equipment, excavation, and construction workP.E. or L.G.
