Corporate Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to Firm’s Chief Legal & Business Affairs Officer and also the Corporate Counsel and Group Leader for Health Plan Contracts. Will be negotiating, drafting and reviewing a wide variety of business agreements with Firm’s clients, vendors and business partners and (ii) providing legal advice and support on a wide variety of matters relating to Firm’sbusiness operations. Drafts, negotiates, and reviews contracts and related documents including managed care contracts, vendor contracts, provider contracts and other business agreements. Provides primary support to designated areas of the organization on legal issues which may include issues relating to privacy, clinical compliance, labor and employment, product development, third-party insurance, government healthcare program participation, marketing and sales. Researches a broad range of laws and regulations affecting the organization, including but not limited to federal and state laws and regulations affecting the business of healthcare organizations; Medicare, Medicaid, fraud and abuse, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA and labor and employment. Prepares legal memoranda as requested. Provides general legal advice and direction on a wide variety of matters to resolve operational issues, including provider and patient related situations. Maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards. All other duties as assigned.
