Seeking a Sr. Workday Specialist for Talent and Learning Mgmt, reporting to Director HR Technology in IT. The IT HR Systems team enables our internal customers to optimize and/or facilitate their programs through HR Systems & technology.
You will be an advocate for delightful user experiences. You recognize Workday’s limitations and when necessary are comfortable suggesting alternatives, whether they be alternate vendors or full stack development options. You understand the most sustainable ways to integrate third party applications. You are familiar with the latest technical trends and know how to apply them in a holistic solution.
Maintain oversight of the design and implementation of Workday feature implementations to ensure appropriate and effective architecture controls are included.
What You’ll Do
Work on Talent development related functionalities that includes - Goal setting, Development plan, Performance review, Performance Calibration, Talent Potential and Calibration, Succession planning, Talent Profile, Skills Cloud, Competencies and Learning Management System
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and drive the planning, development, testing, and implementation of the Workday HCM system with focus on Talent and Learning management.
Ensuring the integrity of HR Systems, primarily but not limited to Workday.
Core responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, configuration and testing to implement solutions to drive adoption and ease of use.
Provide subject matter expertise on Talent and Learning systems and participate in enhancement design and scoping .
Develop and articulate solution options that incorporate user experience, scalability, security and best practices.
Clearly highlight the merits and disadvantages of solution options to support informed decisions by our customers.
Provides scoping of complexity and effort for each option.
Regularly evaluate the current state of systems to identify and recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and/or new applications to support business strategies and operational needs.
Lead Workday’s bi-annual updates specially for Talent and Learning modules.
Partner with the customers to develop test strategy, test scenarios/scripts, as well as execute systems/E2E testing in preparation for user acceptance testing.
Prioritize talent development solutions and establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness
Act as liaison between People/ HR Team and IT and/or 3rd party systems vendors.
Collaborate with the People/ HR Team, other product development groups and Workday product experts to identify and define solutions for complex business requirements.
Present solution concepts to senior executive stakeholders to gain alignment.
Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree
5 years of proven experience in Workday HCM implementations/ development, testing, configuration, and deployment.
3 years of Specialization work in the Talent Management/ Learning Management module of Workday.
Deep knowledge of Workday's Business Process, and development plans, performance plans and goals plans.
Expert in creating Workday custom reports, Security roles, domain access.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations.
Technical Acumen working in a Corporate Technology environment
Experience with Talent Marketplace will be an added advantage.
