Paralegal / Legal Assistant
The candidate will be responsible for: Review of foreclosure referrals and loan documents. Preparation of demand letters and tracking of expiration dates. Review of title searches and ability to identify minor title issues. Preparation of assignments and forwarding of same for execution and recording. Preparation of complaints and filing of same with applicable courts. Preparation of documents for service, act as liaison with sheriffs or constables and monitoring of completion of service. Filing for judgment or submitting of documents to courts in support of judgment. Drafting of notices of sale, review of publications and monitoring of sale process in general. Review of bid instructions and preparation of auction package. Preparation of foreclosure deed and supporting documents for execution and recording. Monitoring and updating of lender / servicer websites to ensure compliance. Associate’s degree in paralegal studies and/or certificate in paralegal studies preferred. Must be highly confidential to protect the client’s privacy rights. Litigation / Foreclosure background is preferred. Should have strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence.
