Description

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for complex support of the company's information technology, applications and servers, which includes analysis, installation, testing, maintenance, operations, planning, response to service outages, and other problems. This position ensures the integration of various elements of technology so that they function effectively for end users. The Senior Systems Administrator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Administrator maintains and monitors software and servers ensuring proper administration of software licensing and updates.

We are looking for someone who is well rounded and can bring their technical background of skills to the responsibilities of system software administration. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to define and determine current and future technology problems and solutions of workload automation. This is an opportunity to help take the workload automation to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and facilitate technical consultation of distributed workload automation solutions

Administrator responsibilities to current distributed workload automation software

Guidance and administration support to application teams and workload automation onboarding

Support of tool health/availability, architecture and compliance/compatibility

Troubleshooting and resolve reported issues/incidents

Drive opportunities of performance, process improvements, and initiatives

Partner with other teams to provide technical direction and suggestions to future needs/requirements

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 5 years technical experience

3-5 years of experience with Windows/AIX/Linux server and application administration

Experience with problem solve/troubleshooting and consultation within complex environments

Infrastructure and Operations experience

Experience working with Distributed job schedulers, prefer Dollar Universe

Understanding of the fundamentals of Cloud computing

Attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects/tasks, priorities

Demonstrated people leadership and collaboration experience

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with scripting languages

Experience with SharePoint administration

Cloud fundamentals

Experience with CI/CD DevOps tools and practices

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while on-site at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
