Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, superior writing and analytical skills, and experience in class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.

Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, and expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Superior writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate and take ownership of a multi-matter docket.
  • Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation is highly preferred.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Previous federal clerkship is a plus.
  • Class action experience is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal software and tools.
