Summer Internship Program
The intern will work in the Government Services and Employment Division. Interns are exposed to administrative hearings, federal litigation, client advice and appellate litigation. Interns work with active, practicing attorneys in readying cases for hearings; preparing and answering discovery; drafting briefs, motions and other pleadings; researching and writing client advice letters or opinions of the Attorney General; and attending witness interviews, board meeting, discovery proceedings, hearings, trials and appellate arguments. In addition to real life lawyering experiences, interns will also have the opportunity to attend out of office events. These events may include prison tours and tours of the Public Safety Training Center and the Georgia Crime Lab. Rising third year law students who are currently enrolled in an accredited law school will be considered. The program generally runs from the first week in June through the second week in August.
