Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing relationships and other efforts to enhance the company’s reputation in the places where our Team Members live and work. This function will manage vendors, contracts, and membership associations while also manage the research, fundraising and federal filing of TYPAC and other special projects as assigned. This role will serve as the operations manager in Washington DC while also supporting state and local Government Affairs offices with responsibilities of typical business functions such as budgets and office space.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to the position.

Experience: 10-15 years previous experience working in a Corporate Government Affairs office with experience doing federal filings

Ability to meet competing deadlines

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills plus Excel and Power Point.

Communications Skills: Excellent relationship building negotiating lobbying skills expected; great written and verbal communication skills; formal presentations public speaking. Supervisory: As needed Travel: 20 plus domestic trips per year.
