JOB SUMMARY:
To apply finishes to a variety of parts and assemblies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Working from oral and written instructions and established procedures, prepare painted surfaces, spray primers or various paint finishes to parts, or assemblies. Uses minimal judgment in obtaining desired finish and works under the guidance of others.
Uses spray gun, simple hand tools, and other measuring instruments.
Mixes primer and basic paint according to specifications and under the direction of others.
Professionally applies paint to surface maintaining finish requirements acceptable to shop supervision and quality control.
Adjusts and cleans spray gun and paint equipment or other company tools checked out for performing job assignments.
Keeps immediate work area clean and orderly and works in accordance with general safety practices.
Responsible only for own work
Performs other related duties as required such as sealing a variety of aircraft components.
EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification or equivalent and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
6 months aircraft spray painting, masking and cleaning experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.
