PSI Pax is currently recruiting for a CMS Project Lead (CSA3) to support our government customer in Woodlawn, MD.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
The CMS Project Lead (SME3) will provide technical support in the implementation of an architecture based IT Configuration Management System comprised of discovery and dependency mapping, and configuration management database. This person will act in a consultative manner with the customer groups as well as the development organization in determining the best approaches for providing customer solutions. The person must be an innovative, analytical, thinker in order to develop conceptual informatics solutions to scientific problems and integration into other information systems, internally and externally.
Required Qualifications:
Deploy new servers, systems and solutions while maintaining and supporting existing systems
Resolve more complex issues requiring detailed systems and application knowledge
Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server Platform, Active Directory and VMWare
Working knowledge of MS/SQL or Oracle databases and servers
Proven experience in implementing and troubleshooting Custom of the Shelf Applications (COTS)
Proven experience managing and supporting large Enterprise/System/Data Architectures
Windows Servers 2008 and VMWare ESX Server experience
Must be a motivated self-starter that can quickly adjust to changing priorities, support multiple projects at the same time and meet published deadlines
Familiar with industry best practices and implementation in a large scale environment
Extensive experience with customers at both a technical and management level
Strong technical and communications skills
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher with 14 years of relevant experience
Equivalent Education & Experience:
Associate's Degree with 16 years of relevant experience
High School/GED with 18 years of relevant experience
Preferred Certifications/Areas of Study/Specific Degrees:
Computer Science, Information Systems, Software & Systems Engineering
Desired Qualifications:
ITIL V3 certification, HP Discovery and Dependency Mapping (DDMA) and HP Configuration Management Database (CMDB) training and MCITP, MCSE (2008 ) certification
Experience developing, integrating, and deploying solutions across a large, distributed organization or enterprise
Demonstrated ability to develop IT solutions appropriate to the organization’s mission, goals and objectives
Possesses hardware and technical software operations knowledge for medium- to large- scale computer installations
Proven experience in development and integration
Experience in writing scripts based on JYTHON, JSCRIPT, TQL or PL-SQL (Oracle)
Working knowledge of using object oriented languages (i.e. Java, .NET and XML)
Excellent knowledge of software languages and COTS applications
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Visio
In addition, U.S Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) is required. Applicants selected must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.
