Managed Care Attorney
The candidate will work with the member organizations within the system and provide advice on managed care law, value-based contracting, state and federal government benefit programs including Medicare and Medicaid and strategic matters related to payor contracting and reimbursement. Work in a collaborative environment in service to the mission of a growing healthcare system. Responsible for matters relating to clinically integrated network, managed care contracting, payor appeals and accountable care organizations. Provide strategic advice and legal assistance in connection with contracts with managed care organizations including representing company in contract negotiations. Serve as a subject matter expert, educational resource, and strategic adviser to business leaders and colleagues on all aspects of managed care contracting. Develop compliance plans conforming to applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Knowledge of laws related to billing and reimbursement, privacy (HIPAA and other privacy regulations) and cybersecurity. Provide legal representation for company in connection with non-clinical contracts as needed. This would include a myriad of contractual arrangements including purchase and supply agreements, service agreements, software license agreements, laboratory arrangements, student affiliation agreements, equipment purchase agreements, state contracts, BAAs, and sponsorship arrangements.
