Senior Paralegal
The candidate will offer recommendations, implement solutions, and make independent decisions on case management. Coordinate the compilation of electronic and hard copy information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence, as necessary to respond to discovery. Conduct factual investigation, including interviewing witnesses and or coordinate investigations and fact-finding on general liability, warranty, and product liability litigation matters. Provide legal support to Customer Response Center, Warranty Teams, Preferred/ Platinum Contractors Team, and assist in resolving product warranty claims. Provide legal support to the Roofing and Asphalt, Insulation, Composites, Sourcing, Tax, and Finance business units. Prepare settlement calculations based on factual and projected information produced in conjunction with pending litigation. Prepare and negotiate settlement documents, including agreements and releases. Prepare status reports and correspondence. Respond to general and product related subpoenas. Assist in preparing company witnesses for deposition. Coordinate with outside counsel on case management and attend mediations. Collect, organize, and maintain litigation documents/files. Prepare status reports and upload documents in Legal Tracker Review outside counsel invoices in Legal Tracker for compliance with OC billing guidelines. Prepare for and attend quarterly reserve meeting with legal and finance teams. Provide support to other paralegals as necessary. Handle emergency and crisis situations from customers and homeowners. Should have 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house, preferably with litigation experience.
