Senior Claims

The candidate will manage the complete investigation, evaluation and resolution of complex claims arising out of our Financial Lines business segments, including Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability and miscellaneous management and entity liability. Require independent investigation and analysis of highly complex claims at primary and excess attachments in a high performing, team-oriented culture. Manage a portfolio of high severity claims which includes conducting fact, liability and loss investigations and interpreting insurance contracts in an effective and efficient manner. Evaluate the potential exposure and develop proactive resolution strategies of assigned claims in a timely manner. Drive the highest level of customer care, responsiveness, and satisfaction when managing assigned claims to deliver superior claim outcomes. Effectively communicate coverage positions with outside counsel, customers, brokers and other stakeholders. Analyze and effectively communicate reserve recommendations. Collaborate with Underwriters to identify, understand and address novel or complex risks. Attend and meaningfully participate in mediations and settlement conferences. Take ownership for personal development and career planning, and development of required skills, tools, techniques, and technology to continually add value to the organization. Should have 8+ years relevant experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required. Juris Doctorate degree is preferred.
