Carry out general maintenance and upkeep of Hazelden Chicago. Maintain HVAC and associated controls, welding, main heating and cooling. Maintaining interior and exterior building envelope in accordance with Washington Park Historical Preservation Requirements.
Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained atHazelden Chicago meeting JCAHO standards and guidelines.
Manage the automated work order/preventative maintenance functions using MyWorkspace
Ensure that facility and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards and fiscal considerations using My WorkSpace.
Ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in a safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement using My WorkSpace.
Maintains and Develops operating budget
Arrange for or provide training for staff and clients as it relates to safety and maintenance topics.
Develop professional relationships with all vendors, to ensure all provided services are economically and professionally completed.
Maintain files for regulatory agencies; ensure files are current and updated.
As a supervisor, this position is responsible for: Facilitating the selection, placement and development of new and existing employees Conducting one-on-one performance communication sessions with direct reports to measure progress on goals, development plans and provide feedback onprogress on a regular basis, including formal annual performance communication Maintaining current job descriptions for all supervised positions Maintaining awareness of Hazelden Betty Ford policies and procedures and makes sure all staff annually attest to Corporate Policies and Procedures. Working with IT resources functioning as on-site technical decision maker. Meeting the physical needs of data moves and installs.
High school or equivalent
Experience with building systems maintenance (5 yrs) emphasis on HVAC
Current driver\u2019s license
Vocational or technical training *HVAC) Certification or Associates Degree
Bachelor\u2019s degree (specify field of study)
